WHY COME TO THE 50TH REUNION?
Stacks Image 804
As we continue to find more of our Lost Classmates, occasionally we hear from someone who is reluctant to attend and there are a lot of personal reasons to feel this way. However for every good reason to NOT come, there is a better reason to COME.

If you fit in the "Maybe I Will Come" category then this page is for you. Here are a few common "Concerns" with appropriate "Reasons" to come.

1) Didn't Enjoy High School

* High school was an awkward time for some. However in the 3 or 4 years we attended Rio, all of us built a few great relationships. It's now time to rekindle them

* Time is running out. Do something NOW to turn an awkward memory into a good one and check off one more item on your "bucket list"

* Don't regret missing this event- just in case it turns out to be the LAST Big Reunion

* Avoid feeling "left out" when you see the slideshow and videos that are posted AFTER the event is over

* We are here TODAY with no promises for tomorrow. Many of our cherished classmates are no longer with us. Go for it!

2) Nobody Is Coming I Want To See

* Are you sure? Have you checked out the “Look Who’s Coming” page? It' growing daily.

* Have you sent an email to someone you would really like to see? There are well over 300 email addresses on the “Found Classmates” page

3) Not Comfortable Going To A Party Without Knowing More People
      * The 36th reunion was really cool because we have all matured and we all have more in common now than ever. The warmth, companionship and camaraderie are awesome

* Keep an eye on the “Look Who’s Coming” page. We are all a bit uncomfortable walking into a room full of people but when you recognize an old friend you will be SO glad you came

* You know more classmates than you think- just check out the Yearbook.

4) Not Comfortable With My Appearance
      * Age has taken it’s toll on all of us. All the youthful beauty we had on the outside in now on the inside

* We are all much more humble now (having learned big lessons along the way) and no longer judge our peers with criticism

5) Many Classmates Were More Successful
      * Success is measured in many different ways and money is at the bottom of the list

* We have all had our share of difficulty and stopped judging our peers by material possessions long ago

6) I Get All The Information I Need From The Web Site- So I Don’t Need To Go

* Just like going to a football game, concert, museum or theatre- it’s WAAAY better LIVE! The energy, emotion and excitement is something that will never happen on the web

7) I Will Be Done Visiting With Everyone In The First Hour, Then What?

* NO WAY. The evening will fly by and the staff will be turning out the lights while you are making plans to reconnect with others

8) I Can't Afford the Ticket Price

* Generous Classmates are donating additional funds so we can cover those that are experiencing financial difficulties. Please see the "Tickets and Donations" page for more information

9) The Ticket Price Is A Lot Of Money For A Dinner Party

* You won’t find ANY venue that can offer more emotional impact and stir up tons of great memories

* This only happens once every 5 years (at best)

* Great Food, Quality Wine, Open Bar, Video Entertainment and a few other surprises- it’s a deal at twice the price

10) I'm Lousy With Names, Don't Remember Most Of My Classmates, Nobody Will Remember Me
      * The name tags are huge and everyone will be wearing one.

* Do your homework. Peruse the "Look Who’s Coming” and the Yearbook Pages on our web site.

* Send an email to a few acquaintances- from the "Found List" to see if they are coming- bet some are.

* In Your Bio- Ask others to send an email if they remember you- you will be blown anyway with the responses
