WOW!!

What a great evening................the more Classmates we get together, the more fun we have. Imagine what the 40th will be like!!

All of us on the committee were completely blown away by the energy, mood and vibe Saturday night. In our wildest dreams, we would never had thought it could turn out THIS good. And thank you again for your accolades!!

Although the Reunion Committee organized this event, the REAL reason it was a HIT was because of YOU!!

You brought the MAGIC!! Thanks to everyone who came, and a “special thanks” to those of you who were on the “fence.” Lot’s of new faces and TONS of rekindled relationships.

Here are a few comments from our classmates. No one knew these were going to be made public, but they are way too “heartfelt” to not post.

...........COMMENTS FROM OUR CLASSMATES.............

Jeanne Sofen (Rosen).............I'm back in the throes of getting ready to show my work, but I have to say I'm still in a bit of a dreamland...thinking about all the people I reconnected with, and feeling so excited about dear friends that I'm going to have in my life again! It was a phenomenal evening...and I didn't get around to everyone that I'd hoped to. I didn't even see Corrado!
Thanks so much for all your work and generosity, and to the other committee members; this was a life experience to always remember!

Denise Garbero (Neadeau)........... Last night was my best high school memory. We had such a wonderful time. Even spouses were enjoying themselves. Everyone did a great job pulling this all together, and it would not have been as good without so many attendees.

Bobbi Walker (Whisenhunt)…………Tammy Hamilton-Williams sent me pictures of the reunion…..It looks like a great time and I'm jealous I couldn't attend. You have done a great job keeping us informed.

Jody Bryan (Paddock)..............I’m still floating, rehashing conversations, thinking of all the people I saw and talked with last night. What a thrill! I heard nothing but great things – “on the fencers” were glad they came.

Gail Patrice................ beyond incredible! the best of the best....I love you all....and feel like I have about 140 new best friends!! Was that the most fun you had since high school or what!!!??? (actually I NEVER had that much fun in h.s.). Most FUN I have had with my clothes on!

Nancy Marsh (Mulligan)……….I agree that it was the people who really made it so enjoyable, but it was your persistence and encouragement to those on the fence that resulted in such a great turn-out. Even Tony, who I thought would be bored, had a great time! Thanks again for a wonderful evening spent with old friends... and a few new ones!

Corrado Polastri.................. I too thought the reunion came off perfectly. I wouldn't have changed a thing. I came with both Terry Farina and Hope Righetti (Hollifield). They were very reluctant to go. They both graduated early and weren't sure they would fit in. I, fortunately, was able to persuade them to go and they couldn't have been happier that they attended. It's amazing how after so many years you forget how many great friends you left behind and how something like this is able to rekindle these cherished friendships.

Julie Coyle (Grovhoug)…………. Thank you SO very much for all that you did to make Saturday night such a fun and well planned event. From the website to the name tags, photos, etc., everything was just perfect. I know that I had a blast and it seemed that everyone was having a wonderful time mostly just catching up with cherished friends and old buddies. Being from Sacramento for all those years, it was simply amazing to see so many people that I grew up with since grade school! I am sure that it took a lot of time to organize everything and I just wanted to thank you from both Donna Chiodo and myself. We both had a fantastic time, and are looking forward to the - gulp - 40th! Hopefully even more of our Class of '72 will make it to that one!

Sue O’Neill (Reardon)...............My heartfelt thanks for a fabulous party! Like many of you, I am still reliving the NEW pleasant memories. Much gratitude to all those who spent time with me, and especially to those who made this reunion happen. What a rare pleasure to have had so many truly outstanding (and may I add, attractive) individuals gathered under one roof. My only regret is that I did not get a chance to speak with more people -- Robin Rodebaugh included -- please, everyone come to the
next reunion. I'm looking forward to it already. Love to all

Robin Fair (Rodebaugh)………………I would like to say that I had a great time too.  I was sorry that I had to leave early and that next time I won't. I missed saying hello to some friends! I will help with the next reunion even if I have moved to Montana. I have never been to a reunion before but this one seemed to be a success.

Ephriam West........................ I left there feeling so good about all of the smiles on people’s faces. Early on, I’d talked to so many people who were quite apprehensive about attending our Reunion. As I asked people Saturday if they were having a good time, everyone responded with much gratitude for the location, the wonderful food, and of course all the great people we brought together.

Suzanne Meister (Herrera)………….I had a great time Saturday! All your hard work certainly showed - it was a terrific reunion. Thanks for everything! Much love.

Sally Tucker (Magel)…………. wow! we really enjoyed ourselves, and thank you so much for encouraging me to go...... a little coaxing helps. …..you and all the committee members did an "OUTSTANDING" job on the reunion..... I had several people come up to me and say, I remember your dad too...my dad was little league coach and well known. I spoke with Ann Worthington today to thank her again for the lovely Tahoe pkg. she donated to the raffle... we’re thrilled and will redeem it at some point. It surprised us, #80 was the last number called!!

Paul and Stephanie Cripe............First and foremost, thank you (and the committee) for the wonderful time Saturday!! What an incredible turn-out! You all obviously worked very hard and it was great to see so many from yesteryear! It was "good times"!

Joline (Kiser) and Rob Prittiee.............."My husband, Rob (Prittie, class of' ‘71) and I attended the 36th Rio “Friday Night Get Together” at Sam's Hof Brau and the Saturday Night Reunion.......and had such a great time! We connected with so many friends we'd lost touch with and Rob saw some he knew from our class too! The next day we did a motorcycle ride in the foothills with Kevin Richardson and his wife.......and it was a blast. Rob has since been sparked to call a few old friends from Rio.................and we look forward to the 40th! WE’LL BE THERE!!!
